Make a Wish

You turned 23 today.
She didn’t wish you a happy birthday,
she hadn’t the wording “I love you” to say.
Do you feel older today?
If by older you mean closer to death,
then yes,
if by older you mean closer to death,
then yes.
Do you feel older today?
She hadn’t the wording “I love you” to say,
she didn’t wish you a happy birthday,
you turned 23 today.
Happy birthday, special boy,
and make a wish since it’s your day,
it’s your time,
one last wish
please (wish for her) today.
