Some days I dream of running away,
only I do not know where it is I would go,
and I fear that the world would take me for a ride
through the marvels of peace and of woe.
Some days I plan on running away,
but not into the woods nor alone down the road,
rather into the skies where I know I will reign
if I choose to get used to the truth in the odes.
Some days I think of running away,
though the kingdom of happiness just doesn’t exist,
so I get to the gates filled with sorrow and hate
forcing smiles through tears as the world insists.

I am a marketing consultant and aspiring writer, with a major in English and a minor in history. I have been writing poetry consistently since my senior year of high school and have since published three poetry books and three novels. I have also written several songs and a few short stories. I also wrote and published a trilogy of novels, my Troika book series. I am currently working on a large-scale multi-book fantasy series that I am very excited about! Writing is a part of my every day, and I would have trouble finding meaning or the will to keep going without it.
