The Other Side

I will see you again
on the other side.
I hope I will find my friends
on the other side.
I hope life will start again
on the other side.

How much moonlight can I endure,
how many regrets can I explore,
how long until I can take no more?
Oh, it won’t be long. No, it won’t be long.

How much silence can I sit through,
how many dreams can I have of you,
how long until I can start anew?
Oh, not much longer now. No, not much longer now.

On the other side
I hope life will start again.
On the other side
I hope we’ll be more than friends.
On the other side
I will love you again.

I am a marketing consultant and aspiring writer, with a major in English and a minor in history. I have been writing poetry consistently since my senior year of high school and have since published three poetry books and three novels. I have also written several songs and a few short stories.
